It aired on NBC in 1981, nine years after the death of Alvin and the Chipmunks created Ross Bagdasarian (aka David Seville). This product is one of the first TV special and / or television program in which the son of Ross Bagdasarian, Ross Bagdasarian Jr. is the voice of Alvin, Simon and Dave Seville and also the first special in which Janice Karman Theodore voice. Shepard Menken returns are Crashcup Clyde, who originally appeared in The Alvin Show.
