In 1992-1993, the Bulls set out on a quest to do what only a few teams have done before, winning three world championships in a row. Once again, the Bulls had a quick start and finished the season with a respectable 57 wins. However, the playoffs have been more difficult than the previous two seasons.
Facing New York Knicks, the Bulls lost the first two games of the series at Madison Square Garden. However, they quickly forced the series with two wins of their own in Chicago. Pivitol 5 games are played again at MSG, and the Bulls managed to win a nail-biter as the Knicks did not get many chances at the end of the game. The Bulls finished off the Knicks to win Game 6 in Chicago.
The Bulls face the Phoenix Suns and Charles Barkley in the NBA finals. The Bulls won game 1 and 2 in Phoenix and was ready for a scanning process may be the first series back to Chicago, but Phoenix has won two of three games in Chicago, forcing the series back to Phoenix. In game six, protect John Paxson hit a 3-point basket at the end of the game to give the Bulls victory and sought-after “Three Peat”.
