Magician’s assistant Corky made disastrous appearance at his first solo. He is given a dummy called abdominal fat to improve their behavior and in a few years Corky is at the peak of their popularity. However, fat has developed a mind of its own and wants to control his master. \
I was surprised how great it is, Anthony Hopkins has never had a character with more energy, this was before he began playing characters rather than boring. Although the film has some plot holes, and there are some unintentional laughs (especially the death of Ben Greene, I couldnt keep a straight face), but Anthony Hopkins is so good, he overpowers all weaknesses of the film. The film made $ 40 million at the time of release, and thats pretty much for 1978, Im surprised the review isn’t higher, and that it has no more votes.
