Silent Predators (1999)

In 1979, a delivery truck makes its way to the only highway in Southern California storms, the San Diego Zoo with deadly tropical rattlesnake as cargo is limited. When the truck suffers blowout, the driver loses control and hits a tree, shattering windows and behind the aquarium snake snake apart from the driver. Snake slithers in front of the truck, killing its driver bites off and then moves to the forest. Flash forward to 1999. Small town in Southern California from 6000 to 30000 San Vicente has grown, and the rattler, which escaped in the nearby years ago to train. Currently there are 25,000 this combination rattlesnakes, and they slowly made its way downhill into the city, absorbing the explosion movement as a city paved its way towards progress. Progress, in this case, brings terror, in this story by John Carpenter originally penned.
